Received an HND in Business Studies from Liverpool Polytechnic (now Liverpool John Moores University) and became a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (FCCA) after studying at Manchester Polytechnic (now Manchester Metropolitan University). When in his 60s, he successfully completed the ICCIE comprehensive captive insurance education program, and earned his Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation.

He spent more than 3 decades preparing financial statements, corporate, and income tax returns for clients in the nearby islands of the Netherlands Antilles and has been involved in the financial service industry since the early 1990’s being a founding member of the Anguilla Financial Services Association of which he is a former President, Secretary, Ethics Chairman and Treasurer.

He is also a founding member of the Anguilla Compliance Association of which he is a former President, Secretary and current Treasurer, and has been the Treasurer of the Anguilla Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 1995. In 1999, he resigned his membership from the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants as a member in good standing.

He continues to maintain a keen interest in developments in the areas of compliance, accounting and finance and has a wide range of experience in the financial services industry having served as an officer and director of both private and publicly traded companies.
